R.E Reflction

This week we have been learning about the heart of the church and how to receive the eucharist information. I am going to give some examples. is like

Being...the action of our heart in our body keeps us alive in action.
Doing...the eucharist is like the heart that keeps the church which is the body of christ.
Sharing...
Gathering...joys and sorrows of their lives to offer them to God through Jesus.
Showing...Gods grace and strenght to grow more like Jesus.
Treating...the church like a reverent place.
Forgiving...our sins.
Living... more like God.

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)

This week we have been learning about STEM. STEM is Science, Technology, Engineering and Math we had to make the tallest tower in a group of 3-5 people. In my group I got assigned with Milla and Millie. First we had to watch a video all about the tallest towers in the world most of the tallest towers was in China it was 2,000 meters high. 

The we did was joined the straws with pipe cleaners to form a square then we tied the the pipe cleaners around the corners of the straws and then we brought all the pipe cleaners together in the middle and then we made a little ring around the golf ball out of the pipe cleaners and attached it to the top

The equipment are:

1 golf ball
10 paper clips
10 pipe cleaners
50 straws

Cycle Safety

This week we have been learning to ride on the road safely and know what to to when riding on the road. When riding on the road we learnt look behind signal look behind cross thats what we have to do when it comes to a right hand turn we you are on the road. I used to not know how to use my gears but now I do and it is so much easier to ride on the grass and ride up hills. One thing I will remember in the future is to use my gears when going up hills. When you go and ride your bike there is a 1,2,4 helmet check 1 is under your chin. 2 is on your forehead and 4 is 2 fingers on both side of your ears. A, B, C is what you need to do to check your bike A is air you have to check your air in your tyres before riding your bike. B is for Break you have to check your break. C is for chain you can't ride your bike unless your chain is oily.

WRITING THIS WEEK                              25/5/17

I used to only focus on my maths and never got my writing finished

 but now I focus on my writing and get my writing done.

One thing I will remember is not to get side track and focus on my writing

This week we have been learning to write a narrative for our e asttle writing that we have done today the topic was Things Disappearing  I think I did a good job. I really loved the topic for writing that we have to do. I think I have a chance to finish Toku Ako.

Water & People

Water & People

In our writing this week we have been learning about water.

1. The 1st thing I learnt about water was that there is only 1% of  fresh water for so many people to drink.

2.The 2nd thing I learnt about water was that 70% of the world is made out of water.

Goals

I have not yet completed my maths goal.

I have completed my writing goals as i have been using sentence startes.

LEARNING GOALS

READING

To regularly read different text types especially chapter books at home. This will help me with ideas when I am writing for different purposes.

I have nearly completed this task.

WRITING

To use a variety of different sentence starters to help make my writing more interesting.

I have done this in my writing with help from a teacher.

MATHS

To learn all my multiplication and most matching division facts.

I have partly done this.

Blue Bubble Jellyfish

Blue Bubble Jellyfish.

Hundreds and thousands of blue bubble jellyfish have been washed up on a beach in Queenstown.

It looks like bubble wrap all over the beach. 

Lots of locals have said the jellyfish are starting to smell pretty RANK!!!
